Diablo IV has been progressing steadily since the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion last fall. Season 9, starting on July 1, will introduce some permanent changes. Console players will now have support for mouse and keyboard controls. Additionally, new features will be added to Nightmare Dungeons.
The endgame of Diablo IV revolves around grinding Nightmare Dungeons. To freshen up the experience, Season 9 will introduce new elements to the tile sets. Horadric Strongrooms, micro-dungeons within Nightmare Dungeons, will offer significant rewards and buffs for the main dungeon. Escalating Nightmares, a set of three increasingly challenging dungeons, will culminate in a unique Astaroth boss fight when played at Torment difficulty.
