14 dead, 34 injured in chemical plant explosion in Telangana
A tragic explosion at a pharmaceutical plant in Sangareddy, Telangana, has claimed the lives of 14 individuals and left 34 others injured. The incident, believed to be caused by a chemical reaction, occurred at the Sigachi Pharma plant in the Pashamylaram industrial estate. Emergency services responded swiftly to the explosion, with fire crews and disaster response teams working to contain the situation.

The death toll from the explosion at a pharmaceutical plant in Sangareddy district has reached 14, with 34 people injured. Telangana Health Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha confirmed the casualties. The blast, believed to be caused by a chemical reaction, led to the tragic incident.
Minister Narasimha stated that efforts are underway to treat the injured and prevent further loss of life. Labour Minister G Vivek Venkatswamy reported that the death toll rose from eight to 14 as more bodies were discovered.
The explosion occurred at a reactor in the Sigachi Pharma plant at the Pashamylaram industrial estate, leading to a fire. Around 150 individuals were present during the incident, with 90 in the affected area. The blast happened between 9:28 am and 9:35 am.
The plant management quickly alerted the authorities, resulting in the deployment of ten fire engines and personnel from NDRF and SDRF for rescue operations. The fire was eventually brought under control after the tragic event.
