A teenage burglar has been found guilty of murdering GP Ash Gordon after breaking into his house twice. The 17-year-old boy, convicted by a Victorian Supreme Court jury, admitted to two counts of aggravated burglary. Dr. Gordon was stabbed and hit by a car after confronting the burglars who robbed his unit.

The boy, along with another teen, broke into Dr. Gordon's home in Doncaster while he and his housemate were asleep. They stole various items and planned to take the victim's car. When caught by Dr. Gordon during a second break-in, a confrontation ensued, leading to the fatal stabbing.

The accused, who claimed self-defence, inflicted multiple stab wounds on Dr. Gordon. The other boys involved in the incident fled the scene and later discussed fleeing the country. The accused was arrested three days after the incident.

Defence argued that the teen did not intend to kill or cause serious injury, stating he acted in self-defence. The accused testified that he believed Dr. Gordon was trying to harm him and continued to approach him even after revealing a knife.
