Rishabh Pant reprimanded by ICC for disputing umpire's decision in India vs England Test

India’s wicket-keeper-batter Rishabh Pant received an official reprimand for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the Test match against England at Headingley. Pant showed dissent at the on-field umpire during England’s first innings.

The incident occurred after a boundary off Mohammed Siraj by Harry Brook. Pant was visibly displeased with the ball's condition and flung it to the ground in frustration, drawing boos from the crowd.

Pant breached Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct and was given one demerit point, his first offence in 24 months. He accepted the sanctions without a disciplinary hearing.

The match in Leeds is evenly poised with England needing 350 runs to win on Day 5 after centuries from Pant and KL Rahul in the second innings.
