Richmond Ends Losing Streak with Victory over Essendon

Richmond snapped a seven-game losing streak to beat Essendon by nine points at the MCG. The Tigers secured their fourth win of the season with a clutch goal from Jacob Hopper in the final quarter. It was Richmond's first win since May 11.

Tim Taranto stood out for Richmond with 34 touches and a goal, while Essendon's Zach Merrett had 31 possessions. Essendon's injury list grew with star midfielder Nic Martin subbed out in the first quarter due to a knee injury.
