Pakistan Army Chief Rejects False Claims of External Support in Recent Military Operation
Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff dismissed Indian allegations of external support in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, calling them irresponsible and factually incorrect. The military confrontation between India and Pakistan escalated due to baseless accusations and resulted in civilian casualties before a US-brokered ceasefire was achieved.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir dismissed Indian claims of Pakistan receiving external support in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos during recent tensions with India, calling them 'irresponsible and factually incorrect'.
The military confrontation began when India accused Islamabad of the April 22 Pahalgam attack without evidence. Subsequently, New Delhi conducted air strikes on Pakistan on May 6-7, leading to civilian casualties. Both countries engaged in missile exchanges until a US-brokered ceasefire was established.
According to Reuters, India's deputy army chief alleged that China provided 'live inputs' to Pakistan on key Indian positions during the conflict. Lieutenant General Rahul Singh claimed that Pakistan and China collaborated, with China offering support during the conflict.
Field Marshal Munir addressed the issue at the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad, stating that India's failure to achieve its military goals during Operation Sindoor highlighted its lack of readiness and foresight.
Munir emphasized that claims of external support in Pakistan's successful operation were baseless and reflected India's reluctance to recognize Pakistan's capabilities developed over years. He criticized India for attempting to involve other states in the conflict.
He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to peace and warned against any actions threatening national sovereignty, promising a strong response to such provocations.
The army chief praised the armed forces and encouraged graduating officers to uphold values of integrity, service, and commitment to the nation.
