More than 80,000 individuals have been forced to leave their homes in China's southwest region due to ongoing flooding. China is facing extreme weather this summer with heatwaves and rainstorms affecting different regions. Around 80,900 people were evacuated in Guizhou province, with a football field submerged under 3m of water in Rongjiang county. Severe flooding and a collapsed bridge were captured on CCTV footage, showing rescuers navigating boats through knee-high water and delivering supplies using drones. Residents shared their experiences of waiting for rescue as emergency personnel worked to ensure their safety.
