Jozef Puska’s two brothers, along with their wives, will not appeal their convictions for withholding crucial information about the murder of Ashling Murphy. Lubomir Puska jnr and Marek Puska, along with their wives Viera Gaziova and Jozefina Grundzova, appeared before the Central Criminal Court. Jozef Puska murdered the school teacher by repeatedly stabbing her in the neck. The family members were found guilty after a jury trial. The sentencing is scheduled for October 7th.

The brothers misled gardaí by failing to disclose vital information, while their wives burned Jozef’s clothes. All defendants pleaded not guilty during the trial but later accepted the jury's verdict. They are engaging with the Probation Services. Jozef Puska's wife had pleaded guilty earlier.

The State's case highlighted that the family members withheld significant information about the murder. They were all living together when the offences occurred in January 2022.
