Xbox Adds Steam Library Integration for PC Gamers

Xbox is moving forward with their integrated app plans on PC, allowing games purchased through other storefronts to be added to your catalogue.

Not only Xbox Ally, but also PC users will have the ability to view all purchased games from different stores in one place.

This feature is currently available on the Xbox PC app for Xbox Insiders to test before its full release.

For PC players, this means seeing their Steam games within the Xbox app, consolidating all owned games in one place, including those from Xbox Game Pass.

The Xbox PC app will be available to all users later this year on Windows 11 and handheld devices.

Microsoft states, \"With the aggregated gaming library, players can easily launch games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, and other top PC storefronts from a single library within the Xbox PC app.\"

Many players are speculating if the next-gen Xbox will also adopt this feature, potentially making the console more like a PC and offering more flexibility in game purchases and library imports.

Currently, Xbox seems focused on using the aggregated gaming library for their handheld efforts and to enhance the Windows 11 experience.

The new experience will be available for Insiders this week, allowing them to merge libraries and provide feedback to Microsoft.

Once available to everyone, players will see icons on game imagery indicating which platform the game will launch from, whether it's Steam or Xbox.
