FWICE Urges PM Modi to Take Action Against Diljit Dosanjh and Sardaar Ji 3 Team for Casting Pakistani Actor
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has expressed deep outrage over the casting of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in the upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3. They have urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strict action against the film's star Diljit Dosanjh and the producers. FWICE has criticized the team for hiring Hania, calling it an insult to India's sovereignty and security.

A day after the trailer of the upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, starring Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, was unveiled, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) expressed deep outrage and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strict and immediate action against the film's star Diljit Dosanjh. The FWICE condemned producers Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu, and director Amar Hundal for hiring Hania Aamir in the film.
FWICE also made a direct appeal to Home Minister Amit Shah, Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar, and Minister of Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw to take action against Diljit, Gunbir, Manmord, and Amar. The letter to PM Modi stated that hiring Hania for the film defies the laws and directives of the country and insults the nation's soul.
The FWICE criticized Diljit and Hania Aamir, calling their actions an unpardonable act and a willful affront to the sovereignty, dignity, and security of India. The letter highlighted Hania's past statements against India and her association with Pakistani propaganda.
The FWICE questioned the loyalty of Diljit and the film's team for casting a Pakistani artist, stating that their actions betray the nation and insult every Indian citizen and soldier. The letter demanded the revocation of their passports and permanent barring from Indian citizenship privileges.
The FWICE also approached the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the Central Board of Film Certification, seeking a ban on the film's release in India and denial of censor certification.
The controversy arises amidst India-Pakistan tensions following recent terror attacks and air strikes. Sardaar Ji 3 is set to release overseas only, not in India, as announced by Diljit on Instagram.
