21-Year-Old Man Found Dead Outside United Square Mall in Novena

At least four police cars and a crime scene investigation van were present at the scene. The area was cordoned off by the police, with a police van and car seen at the scene.

A 21-year-old man was pronounced dead in the early hours of June 24 at a shopping mall in Novena. Preliminary investigations suggest no foul play was involved. The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to the incident at 101 Thomson Road just before 7am. The United Square mall is located at this address.

The man was found motionless near a taxi stand and was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic. Police do not suspect foul play based on preliminary investigations and stated that investigations are ongoing.

Images on social media show the mall's drop-off point cordoned off with police cars and a crime scene investigation van present. A tent was set up behind the electronic signboard near the mall's second-floor car park. The cordons were removed later in the day.

Shop owner Kathy Teo expressed surprise at the police presence when she arrived for work. The entrance was cordoned off, preventing cars from parking. A worker in a nearby shop mentioned seeing many police cars in the area.
