Police Search for Suspected Arsonists in Failed Attack on Sydney Beauty Clinic

Police are searching for two men who attempted to firebomb a beauty salon in Sydney last month. CCTV footage shows one of the men running with flames coming from his pants.

The failed arson attack occurred at Sheryne Skin on Burwood Road, Burwood around 5am on June 13. The men entered the salon and poured accelerant on the floor.

In the released CCTV footage, the arsonists' plan backfired, causing one of them to run down a nearby street on fire, trying to extinguish the flames.

The incident has provided police with a crucial clue to identify one of the suspects, as his face was visible when his hood fell off during the escape.

In another clip, the second man slipped on the accelerant inside the shop and fell on his back.

Acting Superintendent Luke Scott of Burwood Police Area Command emphasized the danger posed by the amateur arsonists, urging the community to help locate them.

The beauty clinic, owned by nurse Sheryne El-Kak, sustained minor damage, and no injuries were reported. The shop was targeted twice more in July, with police seeking information to identify the suspects.
