April Jones's Killer Attacked in Prison Again as Family Speaks Out
Mark Bridger, the murderer of five-year-old April Jones, has been assaulted in prison for the second time. April's half-sister expressed that he deserves the consequences. Bridger was convicted in 2013 for abducting and killing April, sparking the largest missing person search in UK history.

The evil killer of five-year-old April Jones, Mark Bridger, was attacked in prison for a second time. Another inmate at HMP Wakefield targeted him, leaving him with grazes on his hand. In a previous attack, shortly after he was jailed, he was slashed with a razor-made knife and needed stitches on his face. The Prison Service reported that his assailant was facing a hearing for punishment.
April's half-sister, Hazel, expressed that Bridger 'deserves everything he's getting.' She mentioned her fear as a parent knowing people like him exist nearby. Hazel expressed relief that Bridger is serving a life sentence and believes he will continue to face consequences.
Mark Bridger was sentenced to life in prison in 2013 for abducting and killing April. The tragic incident occurred on October 1, 2012, when Bridger abducted April in Machynlleth, Powys, Wales. The search for April was the largest in UK history and lasted until April 22, 2013.
During the investigation, Bridger initially claimed he had accidentally run over April while drunk. However, evidence contradicted his story, including April willingly getting into his car as witnessed by her friend. Blood confirmed to be April's was found in Bridger's house, along with child pornography on his computer.
Charged with child abduction, murder, and perverting justice, Bridger was convicted after a five-week trial. He was described as a fantasist obsessed with child murder and pornography. Bridger never disclosed the location of April's body, but it is believed he disposed of her remains by burning them and dumping some in a nearby river.
