YSRCP MP Midhun Reddy arrested in ₹3,200-crore liquor scam case
PV Midhun Reddy, a Lok Sabha member from YSRCP, was arrested by Andhra Pradesh police for his alleged involvement in a liquor scam. He was questioned by the Special Investigation Team for several hours before his arrest. The opposition accuses the government of pursuing false cases against YSRCP members.
YSRCP Lok Sabha member PV Midhun Reddy was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police in the alleged ₹3,200-crore liquor scam during the previous YSRCP regime. Midhun Reddy was grilled by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for several hours and was arrested at around 7.30 pm in Vijayawada. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha confirmed the arrest.
PV Midhun Reddy is the current Member of Parliament from Rajampet constituency. His questioning follows the arrest of other accused persons in the case.
The opposition party criticized Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for what they claim is vindictive behavior and false cases against YSRCP members. YSRCP leaders expressed confidence in Midhun Reddy's innocence and determination to prove it.
