Sharda University Student Ends Life Alleging Harassment

A second-year BDS student at Sharda University in Greater Noida died by suicide, alleging harassment by faculty members. The incident occurred on campus, and a suicide note was found naming the teachers responsible for the harassment. This led to protests by students demanding accountability from the college authorities. Police have detained two individuals based on a complaint filed by the student's family, and the matter is under investigation.

This incident follows a similar case in Balasore where a college student died after setting herself on fire due to alleged harassment by a teacher. The student sustained severe burn injuries and later passed away during treatment.
