iPhone 17 Series Launch Expected in September: Prices in India, UAE, and USA

Apple is preparing to launch its iPhone 17 series later this year, expected to include four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Each model is rumored to receive significant upgrades in design, processing power, screen technology, and camera capabilities. The iPhone 17 may come in six colors, while the iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro series are expected to offer four and five color options, respectively. Although Apple has not confirmed the release date, tech expert David Phelan predicts the announcement will likely happen in September.

In his recent newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman suggested that Apple fans should keep the week of September 8 free for the potential reveal and availability of the new iPhone lineup. Traditionally, Apple announces new iPhones shortly after Labor Day, which falls on September 1 this year, making the following week a probable window for the launch event. Apple has historically unveiled new iPhones in the second week of September, with 2020 being an exception due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to start at around Rs 79,900 in India, with possible price increases for both the base and Pro models. This increase is attributed to updated trade tariffs introduced during the previous administration. Geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and China have led to higher production costs for iPhones made in China, potentially resulting in increased global retail prices. In the U.S., the entry-level iPhone 17 may be priced at around $899, while in the UAE, it could start at nearly AED 3,799.

Rumors suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro will feature a new design with a horizontal camera bar across the rear, inspired by Google's Pixel series but refined with Apple's minimalist aesthetic. Leaks suggest a possible pill-shaped camera housing for the new layout. The selfie camera is expected to be upgraded from 12MP to 24MP, while the rear camera setup may include three improved 48MP sensors for wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto shots, enhancing photography and video capabilities.
