Colton Herta led the morning practice at the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto after finishing 10th on Friday. Herta, who won last year's race from the pole, set the pace today. Kyle Kirkwood was second. Herta's best lap time was 1:00.0578, with Kirkwood close behind at 1:00.1578.
Herta has been a top qualifier at this track in recent years. Pato O'Ward praised the Andretti team's speed. Qualifying is next, followed by the 90-lap race.
Drivers adjusted to track modifications near Turn 3, with a significant bump reported in the braking zone. Jacob Abel hit the wall late in the session. Engine changes are planned for O'Ward and Lundgaard ahead of the race.
Scott Dixon leads active drivers with four wins at Exhibition Place. Will Power and Josef Newgarden have multiple wins here. Herta and Lundgaard are past winners in the field. The last two winners started from the pole.
