96K Affected and 3 Missing in 'Crising' Monsoon Rains
Severe Tropical Storm 'Crising' and monsoon rains have affected 96,000 people in the Philippines, with 3 individuals reported missing. Rescue operations by the Philippine Coast Guard and Armed Forces of the Philippines are ongoing to assist those affected.

The number of people affected by Severe Tropical Storm Crising and southwest monsoon habagat has reached 96,000, with three individuals reported missing due to flooding and landslides, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on July 19.
An NDRRMC report stated that 37,598 families, totaling 96,791 individuals, were affected across various regions in the Philippines.
Of those affected, 11,689 individuals were in evacuation centers, while over 6,000 were staying with relatives or friends and receiving assistance from the NDRRMC.
Twenty-six areas in different regions were flooded, and three individuals were reported missing in Antique and Palawan.
Rescue operations were conducted by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) nationwide, with a total of 6,761 individuals rescued by the PCG since the start of the missions.
In Palawan, 88 families were rescued by the PCG as flooding submerged their homes in Brgy. Sicsican, Puerto Princesa City.
Additionally, 1,280 passengers were stranded in 42 ports due to cancelled sea voyages, and the Philippine Army deployed disaster response teams in Northern Luzon to assist in search and rescue operations.
